We are committed to delivering unparalleled infrastructure, ensuring that the UK economy can thrive in an emerging digital age, to support our everyday reliance on digital services such as TV and music streaming, online banking, cloud storage and other online platforms that we use throughout our day-to-day lives.
Providing up to two million square feet of data centre floor area on land East of South Mimms Services, this facility will generate approximately 200 new highly skilled jobs and investment on this site, in addition to new employment opportunities during the construction phase, and significant investment value generated indirectly through the delivery of the project. Overall, DC01UK will fulfil a crucial national need to deliver key data centre infrastructure, that can support some of the most successful companies in the world and seek to improve the way we use online services and artificial intelligence.
We are seeking outline planning permission for this data centre, which focuses on the principle of development. Specific details, such as the appearance, layout, landscaping and scale of the development are to be determined at a later stage.
DC01UK will be accompanied by a suite of local enhancements and community benefits, such as delivering a new Technology and Innovation Hub at the heart of South Mimms to provide training and apprenticeship opportunities for residents of Hertsmere and the wider Hertfordshire county; and highway improvements, including upgrades to local bus and cycle infrastructure.

Working in partnership with the local authority to deliver a new Technology and Innovation Hub, at the White Hart, in the heart of South Mimms, providing training and apprenticeship opportunities for residents of Hertsmere and the wider Hertfordshire county.
Over £20 million in business rate revenue per annum, ensuring an increase in borough, county, and national public funding.
Over £1.1 billion per annum GVA (Gross Value Added) generated indirectly by DC01UK per year, as well as 13,700 new employment opportunities throughout the UK’s digital economy.
